The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating an early morning drive-by shooting. According to a release from the department, police were called to the scene at East Carver Drive shortly before 4 o’ clock this morning after reports of multiple shots being fired at a residence. When officers arrived, they found a car in the driveway which had several bullet holes. The front door of the home also had several bullet holes.
The victims told officers they heard several gunshots they thought were hitting the house. They said they fell to the floor and waited for the gunfire to end. Several shell casings were recovered from the scene None of the residents were injured. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
