Voter Deadlines Approaching for May 20th Election
ATHENS - Two important deadlines are approaching for those who wish to cast ballots in the May 20th primary and nonpartisan elections.
According to the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections, April 21st is the last day to register and be eligible to vote in the May 20th elections and any necessary July runoff election.
April 21st is also the deadline to change the address on their voter registration record for the May balloting and July runoff.
Examples of those who may need to make these changes to maintain voter eligibility include new Athens residents, adult children no longer living with their parents, and students moving into a new dorm or apartment.
Voter registration applications are available online, but forms can also be completed in person at the Board of Elections Office, Athens Regional Library, the county tag office, the Georgia Department of Driver
Services, and the Tate Student Center.
