WUGA is hosting a mayoral debate tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Athens-Clarke County Library. Those interested can attend the taping and be a part of the live audience.
All three mayoral candidates, Kelly Girtz, Richie Knight and Harry Sims, will be participating. The debate will be moderated by WUGA news anchor, Alexia Ridley. Three other reporters, Blake Aued with Flagpole, Ashley Soriano with The Red and Black and Lee Shearer with The Athens Banner-Herald will also be asking questions of the candidates.
The debate will be aired on WUGA on Friday, April 27th at 1:30 p.m. and on Sunday, April 29th at 12:30 p.m. The debate will also be accessible to listen to on our website.
