State Department of Labor to Hold Workshop for Former Prisoners, Others Re-Entering Workforce

The Georgia Department of Labor and the Athens Career Center are holding a workshop for people trying reestablish themselves.

The workshop at the career center on Neely Drive is designed to help those who are re-entering the community. Topics include how to get started in getting back into the workforce, values, skills and abilities, and connecting with agencies providing assistance among others.  The information is for people including those on probation, TANF and SNAP recipients and those living in shelters.

The next workshop is Friday, October 20th from 10 until 11:30 am. It's a part of The Offender Parolee Probationer State Training Program, or TOPPSTEP.
