The Athens community is invited to celebrate American independence with the annual Star Spangled Classic this Saturday, July 1.
This family friendly event is free and will begin at 5 p.m. Festival goers can look forward to many fun activities including live music, games for children and food trucks. The exact location of the event area is between Washington Street and College Avenue.
The highlight of the night, a fireworks display, will be the closing act scheduled for approximately 9:30 p.m.
