Six UGA Football Players Selected for the 2018 NFL Draft

Wikipedia

Six UGA football players were drafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, which started this past Thursday and ended on Saturday.

The 2018 NFL Draft set a record for the University of Georgia, with three players being drafted during the first round, a first in school history. Those three players were Roquan Smith, Isaiah Wynn and Sony Michel. Smith was drafted by the Chicago Bears, while both Wynn and Michel were picked by the New England Patriots.

On day two of the draft, Nick Chubb was chosen by the Cleveland Browns and Lorenzo Carter by the New York Giants.

The final day of the draft ended with Javon Wims being picked by the Chicago Bears. At least five other UGA players who entered the draft, but were not selected, will likely be exploring their options as free agents.

In 2017, only one Georgia player was selected in the NFL Draft.
