Oconee County Sheriff's Office Sending Out Trucks Loaded with Donations to Texas

Oconee County Sheriff's Office

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is sending three tractor-trailers loaded with donations to victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Sheriff Scott Berry says the office was collecting items which could be used immediately by those affected. Those items include diapers, baby food, water, canned food, pet food and supplies, and cleaning supplies.

“We knew that our friends, the sheriffs in Texas were going to need to support their hometown communities and we’ve been in touch with the Texas Sheriff’s Association,” Berry said. “So we’ve just been a clearinghouse for a whole lot of supplies that we’re going to take to a sheriff’s office in Texas.”

Those LAD Truck Line trucks went out today and Oconee County plans to send out at least one other truck soon.
