Oconee County Deputy Hit by Car Released from Hospital

An Oconee County Deputy hit by a car Tuesday evening has been released from the hospital. According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. George Roberts was released and all tests and x-rays were fine. Roberts was directing traffic in front of Oconee Veterans Park Tuesday evening when the accident happened. He was conscious, alert, and talking on the scene after the incident. The driver of the vehicle that stuck the deputy did stop.
