Members of the Athens community are invited to join the festivities of Museum Mix at The Georgia Museum of Art Thursday evening.
The Georgia Museum hosts the late-night party three times a year. Those attending Thursday will enjoy a live DJ, free refreshments, and galleries open until 11 pm. Hillary Brown is the Director of Communications with the facility. She says Museum Mix provides a comfortable setting to take in the sights at the museum.
"That goes from 8 until 11 pm so it’s kind of a late-night event, not really late-night for Athens, but late-night for on-campus for the museum,” Brown said. “It’s really fun, it’s for students, it’s for people in the town, it’s kind of for everyone just to come and have the chance to go through the museum in a really relaxed way.”
Museum Mix runs from 8 to 11 pm. The event is free.
