New numbers have been released on fall 2017 enrollment at the University of Georgia.
37,606 students are currently enrolled at UGA. The addition of 1,032 students to UGA’s rosters brought enrollment up by almost 3 percent from 2016.
According to the University System of Georgia’s latest report, UGA has the second highest enrollment numbers in the state, coming in only after Georgia State University.
Demographics at the institution have also slightly changed. Enrolled Asian, African-American and Hispanic students has increased since last year. The percentage of female students, 57.4 percent, has not changed much over recent years.
Across the whole University System of Georgia, enrollment grew by 1.1 percent.
