Georgia Remains Among States with Higher Percentage of Uninsured

 The U.S. Census Bureau released updated numbers Tuesday on how many people remain uninsured across the nation.

Georgia Health News reports that Georgia remains one of the state’s with the highest number of uninsured individuals, coming in only in front of Texas, Alaska and Oklahoma.

However, Georgia’s rate of uninsured did fall from 13.9 percent in 2015 to 12.9 percent in 2016. The nation’s uninsured rate was 8.8 percent in 2016.
