The "Crafting History: Textiles, Metals and Ceramics at the University of Georgia" exhibit is drawing to a close at the Georgia Museum of Art.
The exhibition is the first to chronicle craft at UGA.
Hillary Brown is director of communications at the museum.
"We have a panel discussion which is one of our final big events for the crafting history exhibition. That's the one about contemporary craft at UGA that I've talked on here before about. It's called "Crafting History: Where is the Craft Archive?" You know, what is craft in an academic context? How are people studying it these days?"
The university has been offering instruction in ceramics, textiles, jewelry and metalwork since the 1920s.
The panel discussion is on Thursday night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
