Gas Prices Dropping in Georgia

Georgia gas prices are heading lower according to Triple A Auto Club.   The company used figures from Gas Buddy’s daily survey of over 5,883 gas outlets in Georgia, which show average prices fell 0.4 centers per gallon this past week, while prices remained steady around the nation.

Athens has some of the highest prices in the state at an average of $2.20 cents per gallon. Atlanta and Savannah are also among the most expensive cities, while prices were lowest in the Augusta-Aiken area, Macon, and Albany. Triple A says gasoline supplies are outpacing demand  during the final weeks of the summer travel season.
