WUGA held a mayoral debate at the Athens Regional Library Tuesday night.
Candidates Richie Knight, Harry Sims, and Kelly Girtz took part in the event which featured questions submitted by WUGA listeners as well as those from a panel of local journalists. William Breeding is a retired educator who attended the debate.
“Well, I think we have three good candidates and regardless of who wins I think we’ll be in pretty good hands from the answers they gave tonight,” according to Breeding.
Journalists included Blake Aued with Flagpole, Ashley Soriano with the Red and Black and Lee Shearer with the Athens Banner Herald.
That debate will be broadcast on WUGA on Friday, April 27th at 1:30 pm and again on Sunday, April 29th at 12:30 pm, after Athens News Matters.
