Free Legal Help at Access to Justice Pop-Up Clinic

Superior Court Judge Regina M. Quick will hold an Access to Justice pop-up clinic on Saturday at Rocksprings Park and Community Center.

The mission of the Access to Justice Initiative is to provide free, competent legal services and information for individuals in need of legal assistance who live in the community. The clinic will be held in partnership with the University of Georgia School of Law and the Western Bar Association.

Staff from the Probate Court and Georgia Legal Services and faculty and students from the UGA School of Law will also be in attendance. Attendees are encouraged to bring any relevant documents with them.

Attorneys provide brief individual consultations on topics including family law such as divorce and child support, adoption law, probate law, employment law, criminal law, and landlord-tenant law at the pop-up clinics. A list of legal service/attorney resources will be provided for individuals who may wish to seek further assistance beyond the pop-up clinic.

The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 291 Henderson Extension.

The next clinic will be held in September, with a date and time to be announced. For more information about the Access to Justice Pop-up Clinics, contact Judge Quick’s office at 706-310-3606 or the Athens-Clarke County Court Administrator's Office at 706-613-3161.
