Atlanta is One of the Best Cities for Singles

WalletHub

Singles can significantly increase their odds of finding love depending on where they live, according to a recent study by the personal finance website WalletHub.

Anlayst Jill Gonzalez says they studied over 180 of the largest cities in the nation in 32 different categories.  Atlanta came in at number two on the list of 2017’s Best and Worst Cities for singles.

"We look at several things. First of all, just how much of the population is single. We also looked at things like nightlife options and housing affordability for singles," said Gonzalez.

Gonzalez says they included the economics of dating, or just how much it actually costs to go on a date.

"Everything from the average price of a cocktail in a club, to a basic dinner out for two, to movie costs and taxi fare," said Gonzalez. "Pretty much all of those things are affordable in Atlanta."

San Francisco was the best city for singles at number one, while South Burlington, Vermont came in at the bottom at number 182.
