The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services is seeking sponsors for the 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
For the past 15 years, the Athens community has been a part the nationwide movement to observe the holiday as a National Day of Service.
Last year, 1,033 volunteers made MLK Jr. Day “A Day On and Not a Day Off.”
The department says this year; more funds are needed to make projects more sustainable.
Three sponsorship levels are available, Platinum for $1,000; Gold for $500 to $999; and Silver for $200 to $499.
