THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT! Thank you for your support!
You won’t want to miss the final Artists in Residence event for 2014! The astonishing landscape painter Philip Juras is the featured artist for November, and attendees will see his home, art collection, and works-in-progress in his studio. His work is both luminous and historically nuanced, as pieces often depict southern landscapes as they might have looked when botanist William Bartram passed through the southeast in the late 18th century.

PLEASE NOTE that the event will be held ON A SUNDAY to avoid the Auburn game. We’ll meet from 3 to 5 on Sunday, November 16th, rain or shine.
Delicious light hors d'oeuvres will be catered by Marti’s at Midday, and Shiraz provides fine wine.
As always, these monthly events benefit WUGA. Admission is $10 for Friends of WUGA and $15 for non-members. Friends memberships are $30 or more annually.
Juras’ address will be provided to those who make reservations with Abbie Thaxton at 706-542-9842 or thaxtona@uga.edu.
Michael Cardin will broadcast a live interview with Juras at the station Thursday, November 13th, at 3:15. Tune in to learn more about this artist whose work has been exhibited at the Telfair Museum in Savannah, the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, the Macon Museum of Art and Science — and elsewhere!
