Woman Sought in Clerk’s Death

11 March 2014

DALTON (AP) - Authorities are searching for a female suspect in the killing of a convenience store clerk in northwest Georgia. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Whitfield County sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call placed just before midnight Sunday at a service station on Airport Road in Dalton. The GBI says the clerk's body was found on the floor. The GBI identified the clerk as Dahyabhai Chaudhari, a 37-year-old Indian citizen who was in the U.S. on a work visa.

Law officers says they've identified a suspect whose last known address is Detroit, and were issuing murder and armed robbery warrants for her. The GBI says she's considered armed and dangerous and is believed to be in the Atlanta area.

Authorities didn't immediately release details on the clerk's cause of death.
