Athens “Meat and Three” Foodie Event

Athens is considered a “foodie” town…and the Athens-Clarke County Library is teaming up with some local experts to explore past and present food trends. The library is hosting “Meat and Three: Athens Food Scene Then and Now.” Attendees with have an opportunity to learn about current trends in the Classic city’s dinning scene as well as reminisce about the history of Athens’ culinary delights.
Milton Leathers, Lee Epting and others will talk about some of the food and unique restaurants that are now just memories. They will also discuss newer food trends and current local restaurants.
The event will be held Thursday, July 24th...it is free and open to the public.
